Dr. Leamon P. Bellamy, a native of Loris, South Carolina, is a distinguished figure with a rich background in ministry, education, and community service. Born to the late Mr. Leamon Bellamy and Mrs. Mayflower W. Bellamy, Dr. Bellamy's journey is characterized by a steadfast commitment to faith and service.

After graduating from Green Sea Floyds High School in 1981, Dr. Bellamy embarked on a journey of higher learning. He earned degrees from esteemed institutions such as Cathedral Bible College in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Blessed Hope Community Bible Institute in Nichols, SC, culminating in a Master of Theology in Ministry and a Doctorate of Christian Education.

Dr. Bellamy's passion for ministry ignited early in his life. He was licensed to preach in 1994 under the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and ordained by the Kingston Lake Baptist Association in 1996. Throughout his career, he has held various positions within the church, including Assistant Pastor, Associate Minister, and Young Adult Sunday School Teacher, under the guidance of the late Rev. A.C. Faulk, Jr.

Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Bellamy has made significant contributions to his community. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army and later as the Director of the Weatherization Program with Waccamaw E.O.C., overseeing services in Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties. Additionally, he has been actively involved in the Little Pee Dee Baptist E & M Association, serving on the Executive Board and as Chairman.

In 2003, Dr. Bellamy was called to serve as Pastor of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, followed by his appointment as Pastor of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in 2014. Under his leadership, the church has thrived, witnessing transformative initiatives and impactful programs. Dr. Bellamy's ministry encompasses not only preaching and teaching but also counseling, workshops, and community engagement.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Bellamy has been recognized for his academic achievements and exemplary service. He received the Paul Yates Academic Scholarship Award in 2002 and was honored as the Blessed Hope Community Bible Institute Sunday School Teacher of the year in 2014. His pastoral accomplishments include the establishment of various programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives, fostering spiritual growth and community cohesion.
